Welcome to season three!!!
This season we’re teaming up with some incredible women who are local movers, shakers, and makers in Minnesota. We are going to take a closer look at the complex relationship humans have with the feelings of being stuck and how it can have a ripple effect into every part of our lives.
All the stories you will hear this season were recorded during a weekend long Makers Retreat sponsored by Rettlers (Lisa Frank) and Make MN (Kara Larson) at Crooked Creek Retreat (Naomi Gamble Zupfer). The focus of the weekend was to provide a space for creative makers to connect and explore ways to gain traction in their work and in their lives through curriculum designed and facilitated by Curiosity Studio (Lauren Callis Erickson).
On day 2 of the retreat I set up a little podcast pop-up recording studio, inside a cozily converted chicken coop, and chatted with each of the retreat participants and planners about their own journey dealing with creative dissonance. Over the course of this season you will hear all the stories I collected that day and my hope is they will inspire you as much as they have inspired me.
So, let’s all take a deep dive into ‘stuck’ & begin to demystify those frustrating, lonely, confusing times when we get lost in our heads and feel paralyzed in our lives, and together let’s begin to gain new tools to help us get moving again.
